Quitting the team

HOW TO QUIT THE TEAM

It is each family’s responsibility to notify the ALGA Parent Board (minimum of two week’s notice) if a swimmer will be quitting the team. In the absence of such notice, monthly dues will continue to be assessed and the family will be responsible for paying them, whether or not the swimmer is attending practice.

Families departing in the first half of the season (i.e. October 1st-January 31st) will be billed up to a maximum of six hours ($300) for unfulfilled volunteer hours. Families departing February 1st-July 31st will be billed up to a maximum of twelve hours ($600) for unfulfilled volunteer hours, as well as up to $50 for any unmet fundraising requirements.

Note that when swimmers quit the team, their spots in their practice groups are NOT held for them and there is no guarantee that there will be room for them to re-join the team at a later date.

*Parents need to also separately cancel membership and programming in Captyn.
