Scholarships

SCHOLARSHIP INFO

The Gators want all youth who are interested and qualified to be able to participate on our team. We offer  income-based scholarships to provide financial assistance to families who meet the criteria listed on this page.

Scholarship applications are submitted online and reviewed by our parent board in the fall, winter, and spring, to align with our evaluations and new swimmer onboarding program.

Timing

New swimmers can apply for a scholarship when they join the team. Current swimmers with a need for assistance can apply at any time.

Scholarship funds are granted for one year, and all swimmers receiving a scholarship must re-apply annually. For example, a swimmer who receives a scholarship when joining the team in Spring 2025 must re-apply in Spring 2026.

Criteria to Qualify

  • Child/youth must already be enrolled in the Gators program OR completed a tryout/evaluation and been assigned to a group.
  • Families must qualify by Alameda County standards as low income to receive a 50% scholarship and very low income to receive a 100% scholarship.
